Real change starts with understanding where you are, and why things feel stuck.

Some people who seek therapy are in crisis. Others aren’t. They’re just tired. Tired of overthinking, of carrying something heavy for too long, of getting through the days without ever really feeling present in them. They know something needs to change. They’re just not sure where to start.

That dilemma and the desire to help resolve it is what drew Aubrey to clinical work. Her path started in psychology research, studying why people think, feel, and develop the way they do. But the distance between research and the impact on real people was unsatisfying. She wanted to see the real world impact. She began volunteering on a 24-hour suicide distress line, supporting inpatient mental health programs, and getting close to the work that actually changes lives.

What she found stayed with her: the profound value of truly getting to know someone, understanding where they are, why things feel stuck, and working together to find a way forward. That’s the foundation on which Rove Psychology & Psychotherapy was built.

Here, therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). We work with adults, including first responders and First Nations and Inuit clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, emotion regulation difficulties, and the everyday challenges that get in the way of living well.

We set clear goals together, track progress, and make sure every step of the process feels like a partnership.

Our Approach

How Our Therapy Works

1. We Get To Know You

We’ll take the time to understand what’s brought you in, your current difficulties, and your history. We’ll also explore the context of your life, so we can tailor our approach to you.

Together, we’ll identify what you want to get out of therapy and build a personalized plan that keeps us focused, aligned, and moving in the right direction.

We’ll begin working toward your goals, tracking progress along the way and adjusting our approach as needed so you’re always getting the most out of your sessions.
